Talking with your doctor
The first step is open communication
Having an open discussion with your doctor is the most important step in managing your COPD. Talk to him or her about the effort required to get the medicine out of your inhaler. STIOLTO RESPIMAT delivers your medicine in a soft mist that helps ease the effort* to inhale.
Find the section below that addresses your current COPD needs. Write down your answers (or questions) and bring them to your doctor's office.

As with all inhaled medicines, the actual amount of medicine that is delivered to the lung may vary depending on correct use of the inhaler and the patient's ability to breathe in through the inhaler for at least 1.5 seconds.
First time talking to your doctor about COPD? Talk about:
How long you've had symptoms
What symptoms you're having (coughing, wheezing, or shortness of breath), and how they're affecting your days and nights
Any history of breathing problems, including family history
Any medicines you're taking
Your smoking history, if any (how many years, how much, and how often). If you're a former smoker, include how long ago you quit
Also, STIOLTO RESPIMAT has been proven to improve your breathing even if you've smoked one pack a day for over 10 years.
Already being treated for COPD?
Talk about:
What symptoms you're experiencing and how often
Your current maintenance and rescue medicines (bring them to your appointment with you)
All other medicines you're currently taking
How often you use your rescue inhaler
If you're still smoking, and what you've tried to help you quit
Other questions to ask your doctor:
How can STIOLTO RESPIMAT help me better manage my COPD?
Is my current treatment enough?
Do I need to sharply inhale with STIOLTO RESPIMAT?
Am I using my rescue inhaler too often?
What kind of lifestyle changes can I make to help me breathe better?
Would a maintenance treatment, such as STIOLTO RESPIMAT, be right for me?
